World Obesity Awareness Week is observed annually from October 15 th to 19 th . As per WHO, over a billion people worldwide are obese, including 650 million adults, 340 million adolescents, and 39 million children. In light of this global escalation of obesity stats, there is an imminent need to create awareness not just of the obesity pandemic but also of the new treatment options available and their potential side effects.
