The Uttarakhand High Court directed the state government to pay equally to AYUSH and Allopathic doctors working in the state under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). Around 101 doctors of Ayurvedic Yoga Unani Sidha Homeopathy (AYUSH) and others had filed a petition in the court that they are working in the state under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). Advocate who counselled for AYUSH doctors, informed the court that they are being payed Rs 28,000 per month, whereas Allopathic doctors received Rs 48,000 per month.
Therefore, after hearing the petition, the division bench of justices directed the state government to pay equal salaries to both the Ayurvedic and Allopathic doctors serving different streams of medicine field.
