The prolonged pandemic and the faster transmission of the Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 has led to an increase in COVID-19 cases, globally. As observed in the first two waves, a shortage of healthcare personnel (HCP) is anticipated in healthcare facilities around the world. To manage this shortage, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India (MoHFW) have released sets of strategies.
