The deteriorating doctor-patient relationship, rising litigation and the adverse publicity against medical personnel made me think - Can we do something to save this profession? Let us identify the problem first - Why did this happen- After practising for 39 years and having a first-hand experience of the turning of events I have identified few factors - 1. Consumer protection act - Which led to fear in the minds of doctors and from a noble profession it became a business. Human life is invaluable and can not be compensated in terms of money?
