Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is associated with the 30-day mortality rate in the absence of treatment of about 3 % for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and 31 % for pulmonary embolism (PE). Post-thrombotic syndrome (Occurs in 20-50 % of patients with DVT) and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (Occurs in 2-4 % of patients with PE) are the long-term complications of VTE. These complications can significantly reduce the patient’s quality of life. Further, the management of VTE bears substantial health care costs for not only the initial hospitalization but also for hospital readmissions. 1 In this regard, Sanofi in collaboration with ISCCM and Docplexus have organized an interactive Webinar and multi-panel discussion on 30 th July 2020 from 03:00 to 05:00 PM.
