A feasibility study from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center assessed four techniques for ovarian sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping using indocyanine green (ICG) and identified infundibulopelvic (IP) ligament injection , performed before or after adnexal mass resection, as the most effective approach. This method achieved mapping success rates of 50–70% , mainly to ipsilateral para-aortic nodes , with no reported complications. In contrast, intratubal and paraovarian injections were less effective and technically cumbersome. The results position IP ligament injection as a promising, safe technique to improve surgical staging precision in ovarian cancer.
