As I have known, doctors are too simple, out of the way helpful and straightforward. In other words they are not as smart as times demand! There are so many existing legal provisions under which they can be harassed, demoralized or punished. Earlier, sheer stature granted to medical profession kept away unsociable and litigant fraction of society. Civil law, Criminal law, Law of Torts, Consumer protection law and even RTI are there to keep howling at the doctors!
Every doctor tries to the best of his or her knowledge and capabilities to treat their patients in shortest duration and with minimum drain on patient's pocket.
