A recent evidence states that there were 16 million abortions reported in India. Surprisingly, about 81% performed at home.
Although government and healthcare professionals take a lot of efforts to minimize the illegal abortions and prevent sexually transmitted diseases, there are few loopholes that need to be addressed. Despite the controversies and diverse opinions on providing sex education to children, now ministry of information and broadcast has banned condom ads from 6 am to 10 pm on all television channels.
