I am a general practitioner. Last year, a 2 1/2 yrs child was brought to me having urinary symptoms.This child is a regular patient and I opened a file for him along with his consultation sheet.Parents now came to me and are requesting a letter from me to say that child took treatment on that day. It is to be submitted in courts as they could not attend a court case on that day due to child's illness. What shall I do? Please advise me.
Should I give a letter? If so what information have to be mentioned? Will I be summoned by the court to give evidence? Any suggestions as how not to issue this letter
