Although a strange question to ask, but there are some recent blogs and news about the link between routine eye examination and brain tumor. For instance, a patient went for routine eye check-up and detected with brain tumor by an ophthalmologist. Also, a recent report suggest that a brain tumor can trigger a rise in intracranial pressure. This causes the optic disc to swell, which can be seen when looking into the eye. It often occurs in the earliest stages before symptoms such as headaches or nausea. Due to this the many patient may get benefits of earliest possible treatments for brain tumor.

Now, if this is the case, one may wonder whether the ophthalmologists should include brain tumor detection tests in their regular practices. Do you support this practice? What is your opinion about this? If yes, then what improvements and legal issues would you suggest?
