There should be total ban on an organization of cataract surgery camps in all states of India as most of the camps do not follow proper sanitization & sterilization of Operation Theatre. Such operations are done in make shift Operation Theatre with poor safety standards. The Ophthalmologist who operates goes away same day leaving patients at the mercy of junior staff. Many poor patients have lost their sights due to such camps.
