Severe ocular complications of Stevens-Johnson syndrome continue to pose significant long-term challenges for survivors, but innovative ocular surface reconstruction techniques are helping patients regain comfort, function, and vision. At the Singapore National Eye Centre, senior consultant Dr. Ong Hon Shing and colleagues are using a combination of mucous membrane grafting and limbal stem cell transplantation to treat patients with devastating ocular sequelae following Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
