Employees who miss routine annual health checkups may be placing themselves at substantially greater risk of hospitalization, according to a recent report by the Confederation of Indian Industry and digital healthcare platform MediBuddy. The analysis suggests that regular preventive screening is associated with fewer hospital admissions and lower healthcare costs, reinforcing the value of sustained employee health programs. Drawing on health data from 10,551 employees, the report found that individuals who completed three consecutive annual health checkups had a hospitalization rate of 2.41%, compared with 7.27% among those who did not undergo any screening.
