A security guard on duty reportedly committed suicide with his service firearm. Bullet wounds were observed on the backside, situated in the occipital bone, 8 cm above the cervical vertebra, and over his forehead. Autopsy report The entry wound was on the back side, about 8 cm above the cervical bone and exit wound on the forehead. Examination Entry wound : It was caused by contact firing and there was an absence of blackening/tattooing/charring and muzzle impression.
Exit wound : Bullet injury indicated that the gun might have been fired in contact with the skull. Spot analysis: It was found that one bullet mark was present on the ceiling of the sentry post, at an acute angle with respect to the sitting position of the security guard. The position of the bullet mark and the dead body just after the incident suggested that muzzle end of the rifle must have been in an upward direction…
