I am a USA trained interventional cardiologist and expertise in TAVI. At Washington University I performed more than 100 TAVI procedures. More importantly I learned the science of proper patient selcetion so that I could offer right treatment to the right patient at the right time. I have returned back to India with a vision to provide advance cardia care in safest way to our patients. TAVI stands for transcatheter aortic valve implantation. It is a bioprosthethic valve.
This a way of replacing aortic valve without opening the chest and without bypass. It is a very good option for patients who are intermediate to high risk for open heart surgery. In Germany > 50% of aortic valve replacements done are TAVI. Please advice me how to spread awareness about this treatment that I would like to offer?
