Early recognition of symptoms and accurate diagnosis is the first step in the management of rheumatoid arthritis. Though the disease is non-curable, the clinical treatment involves the reduction of pain and inflammation using analgesics and corticosteroids followed by Disease-Modifying Anti-Rheumatic Drugs (DMARDs) to slow down the disease progression. This article provides a brief review of the available clinical treatments for RA, its manifestations and disease recurrence monitoring.
