It is a bit difficult post which I am writing which conveys to have subspecialties restricted ophthalmologist work. When we go back to past an ophthalmologist would operate cataract glaucoma do DCR and squint even some talented surgeons would do retinal detachments and even laser. These old talented surgeons wold go outside and update their knowledge ad clinical work. Neither the ophthalmologist nor patient had a choice for the subspecialties as they were not existing.

The recent advance procedures were not in existence at present with onset of subspecialties. One may think that ophthalmic job is a bit restricted as we have different people to do different stuff but at end of the day, patients get best possible treatment of their respective disorders.
