A 60-year-old Woman with mild fever swelling of right parotid and Bilateral Submandibular glands. History revealed three times Fnac taken in the last 3 months from right parotid gland swelling. Histopathology report showed the absence of malignant cells. CBC in a normal range, ESR 45, advised CT scan of head and neck.
Prescribed combo of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid and paracetamol but the patient was taking sub-doses of antimicrobial drugs. A patient also revealed a tooth problem of right side which she wanted to have an extraction. She is worried because of the huge swelling of the right parotid gland. What is your opinion about the further line of action?
