Face is the chief seat of beauty. Some of us are born with asymmetrical facial features. Correction of severe facial asymmetry is a challenging task due to the geometric complexity of the dentition, the bony structures, and the soft tissues. This is a case of a young lad with facial asymmetry aged 30 from Mangalore Knowing about us, he scheduled his first consultation.
Upon investigation, the clinical findings were that the patient had the asymmetrical lower left side of the face which he had noticed from 10 years ago. A Genioplasty, Masseter muscle reduction and Mandibular shaving surgeries were planned and performed. The surgeries were performed under general anesthesia and post-surgery the patient had to stay in the hospital for a period of 8 days.
