The NEET-UG 2024 has been marred by allegations of irregularities , including the paper leak scam. In addition, questions were raised about candidates securing the perfect score of 720, several students receiving improbable marks of 718 or 719 out of 720, and 1,563 candidates receiving grace marks due to delays in exam. The general public and students fear these irregularities might prevent eligible students from securing medical education . In response, ten medical aspirants filed a petition in the Supreme Court requesting a re-exam for this year.

Subsequently, the Supreme Court issued a notice to the National Testing Agency (NTA) seeking the agency’s response on NEET irregularities.
