Cardiac arrest is a fatal event that may occur in adults due to different arrhythmias such as pulseless ventricular tachycardia (VT), pulseless electrical activity (PEA), ventricular fibrillation, or cardiac asystole. The present article is a synopsis of a study carried out to assess the rate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) success and the survival rate in managing cardiac arrest among patients in an educational medical center. Several types of research have focused on identifying the factors that impact the patients’ probabilities of responding to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
