Dear Doc, Recently, I came across a middle aged man having tooth ache complaints of lower 1st molar, he had previously got it restored by another dentist past [less than 8-12 months] prior to arrival at my clinic. However, on clinical exam there was mild TOP over 36 tooth, so on proceeding with the case, on removal of restoration, it was found that there was no cement base given under the restoration, [may be varnish placed over the amalgam], also patient had severe sensitivity. So, what should be the treatment plan and prognosis?
However, i gave temporary restoration ZnOE and sent for permanent restoration after 1 week, thereby providing needful advise to the patient on his pain issues.
