Lowering a blood pressure (BP) in the management of cardiovascular diseases is known to be beneficial. However, the effects of the reduction in BP may have variable effects. These effects are based on multiple aspects such as baseline BP, comorbidities etc. A new meta-analysis published, states that the lowering of BP should be based on these risk factors rather than universal targets.
