The Peritoneum which we close in every Abdominal surgery— Is it True peritoneum? Or pseudo peritoneum? Should it be closed? Or left  B. D. Chaurasia explains clearly in Anatomy Of Abdomen — Peritoneum is a Transparent layer and not a white or opaque layer.

The Peritoneum that we close is actually close — Posterior Rectus sheath + Peritoneum + Connective tissue ... Closing this layer and separated muscle layer —  is STRONGLY suggested — because this gives extra support  to the weakened incised Abdominal wall + Extra barrier for Infection. Adhesion's, Herniation will be prevented. Making next surgery convenient and uneventful. We should always go by our Analysis, Experiences, Comparison and Evaluation — Not by the ideas of someone else .. Kindly share your views and suggestions ..
