Concerns regarding the long-term effectiveness of saphenous-vein grafts (SVG) in coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) have led to numerous debates regarding the conduit of choice, including bilateral versus single internal thoracic artery grafts (LITA) or the radial artery (RA). Although LITA remains the primary conduit for its favorable long-term outcomes, the 2017 and 2018 ESC/ESCTS guidelines for CABG have categorized RA as Class 1A, definitively asserting this conduit as the second target conduit for CABG. Multiple studies have shown that CABG has a better patency and survival rate with radial artery graft than other grafts.
