Is real research is being done now? Is pharma industry dictating terms and teaching the doctors? Why should I follow the norms that are based on latest studies?
Why should I follow set guidelines which go on changing year after year? Our teaching has always based on three steps – History taking (80 percent diagnosis correct) as First step, Examination of patient and eliciting sings as 2nd step (10 percent weightage for correct diagnosis) and asking for investigations to support the diagnosis and weightage 10 percent as 3rd step for making a diagnosis.
