Patient Case A 10-year-old girl presented to the pediatric clinic with a headache and poor growth. Physical Examination The initial examination of the patient indicated that her height was below the third percentile. She had a weight which was at the tenth percentile. She had dry skin and upon skin testing, no visual-field deficits were observed. Laboratory Analysis Initial laboratory tests showed a thyrotropin level of more than 150 μU per milliliter.

A free thyroxine level of 0.4 ng per deciliter was observed. A prolactin level of 63 ng per milliliter. The results of morning cortisol, gonadotropins, and insulin-like growth factor 1 level were found to be normal.
