Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is linked to reduced health-related quality of life (HRQoL), though evidence on treatment-related improvements in patient-reported outcomes remains limited. To address this, a study evaluated the impact of tofacitinib on patient-reported outcomes (PROs) in 225 patients with JIA. The study found that disability, arthritis pain, and overall well-being scores improved from mean 1.04, 5.53, and 5.07 at baseline to 0.57, 2.46, and 2.47 at week 18, respectively.
Physical and psychological health scores increased from 29.51 and 47.24 to 42.70 and 51.53, with improvements generally maintained through week 44. These findings suggest that tofacitinib may improve multiple patient-reported outcomes in JIA, indicating potential benefits for overall health-related quality of life. Are you considering tofacitinib to improve quality of life in your JIA patients?โฆ
