For reasonable efficacy rates and low complication rates interventional PVL closure has the ability to become a first line approach in the treatment of PVL in patients at increased surgical risk in the future. This week's  'MED FACT'  discusses a clinical trial from Clinical Research in Cardiology, “ Interventional treatment of paravalvular regurgitation by plug implantation following prosthetic valve replacement: a single-center experience” , 2018.
