This case is for all my dear Neurologists. My patient suffered from Tansverse Myelitis in 2010 in segment C3 to D12.Basic symptoms were acute paraplegia n bowel n bladder affected, totally bed ridden in 2 weeks. Inj Solumedrol(methylprednisolone) 1.5 gm for 5 days given n physiotherapy continued. Improvement was seen n she started to climb stairs within first 3 months bt then again deterioration started slowly slowly. Physiotherapy was never left.
Bt now she is on a walker n cant even walk properly. A neurologist says to go for Melhylprednisolone 1gm again n try. What do u suggest ?
