Recently students with type 1 diabetes appearing for 10th and 12th board exams were asked to apply under the physical disability category by CBSE. Last year, the board allowed diabetic students to carry sugar tablets, chocolate, candies and water bottles inside the center. The board said that these students we will be allowed this concession only if they fill up the form under the physical disability category.
It is true that type 1 diabetes students need appropriate management but it is ridiculous that these students should be marked as physically disable! Share your views. Source: Times Of India
