Following the first report of SARS-CoV-2 in the UAE on January 29, 2020, the authorities took stern and immediate action that was evident at every stage of the pandemic. May it be the suspension of schools and workplaces, termination of flights, the implementation of disinfection protocols throughout the nation, establishment of robust testing, isolation and quarantine facilities, well-equipped hospitals, restrictions on public gatherings, or the widespread distribution of vaccines. Despite an invisible threat, the entire community worked together to defeat it. Frontline workers, those on the fringe, and everyone in between contributed.
