A team of doctors from the Ras-Al-Khaimah (RAK) Hospital, UAE recently performed a unique beating heart bypass surgery to save the life of a 49-year-old British expat who was at a high risk of a heart attack. The patient had a family history of ischemic heart disease and thromboembolic episodes . He visited the RAK hospital for a routine check-up after experiencing some chest discomfort. The doctors analyzed the patient's complaints and symptoms and tested him for cardiac injury markers due to suspicion of acute coronary syndrome.
