The Union Cabinet recently has approved the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Regulation Bill 2020 that introduces profusion of legal, ethical, and social issues. The bill mainly proposes national registry and registration authorities for all ART clinics. With over 27 million infertile couples in India, this bill aims towards safe and law-abiding IVF procedures for all. The Union ministry declared about the approval of the Assisted Reproductive Technology Regulation Bill of 2020.
This bill regulates and supervises ART clinics and promotes to follow ethical practices for ART banks as well as clinics.
