Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia which impairs memory and other mental functions that affect the normal functioning of the brain. According to Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) Federation, every 3.2 seconds, someone in the world develops Alzheimer’s disease (AD). In India, around 4 million people are living with some form of dementia.
It is estimated that 135 million people will be leaving with dementia by 2050. According to a recent report by WHO, AD/dementia jumped from 14 th position in 2000 to 5 th position in 2016, causing an alarming situation.
