Short Presentation based article Over the years, reconstruction of the urethra has continued to present formidable and enormous challenges for urologic and pediatric surgeons. Although it is one of the known urological diseases, it constitutes a significant workload for urologists globally with attendant high morbidity. The current presentation talks about the challenges faced by urologists, its management and better future prospectives which would be helpful in treating this disease. Urethral stricture disease is associated with a significant financial cost and potentially debilitating outcomes.
