The US FDA has approved relacorilant in combination with nab-paclitaxel for the treatment of adults with platinum-resistant epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer who have received one to three prior systemic treatment regimens, including at least one containing bevacizumab. Relacorilant is a glucocorticoid receptor antagonist that has demonstrated the ability to enhance apoptosis and antitumor activity when used with paclitaxel in preclinical human cell line-derived xenograft models. Clinical evidence The approval was supported by a clinical trial involving 381 patients with a median age of 62 years.
