Calcific band-shaped keratopathy is a chronic type of corneal degeneration the chronic corneal lesion may be calcified or there may be deposition of fat on this lesion. So, it is respectively known as calcific or atheromatous band keratopathy. It causes marked visual impairment in one of the articles published.
