By applying controlled, symmetrical tension to the fascial edges, Fasciotens helps prevent lateral retraction, promotes primary fascial closure, and reduces the need for component separation techniques. In open abdomen management, it supports early definitive closure and minimizes complications such as enteroatmospheric fistula formation.
