Nine Medical students found submitting forged caste certificates for seeking admission in Medical College and getting scholarships meant for ST caste students in Maharashtra state. As per law, for seeking admission against reserved category SC caste, it is mandatory that SC candidate must be domicile of that state and SC candidate of other state is not eligible. In one such case, the seat was offered but denied after one week.
The high court fined Rs 3 lacs to Government Medical College. Here candidates sought benefits after submitting fabricated caste certificates which are a serious offense. What is your opinion?
