Since the pandemic is going on one of my relative had an insect bite few days back and followed by severe itching and redness around the area . I told my relative to send the picture of the same which I have posted here. I asked her if she had any fever she said no but she said she was feeling feverish for the past few days. She is non diabetic but hypertensive on medication .
Based on the image I made a diagnosis of post insect/bug bite urticaria leading to severe itching and excoriation and finally cellulitis. I gave her antibiotics with cetrizine and lactocalamine for local application, her symptoms resolved. Since I am a medical officer, I could not think of other possibilities .So based on the history and picture what is your diagnosis and what are the other possibilities as well?
