What Is The Cause Of Raised Blood Glucose In An Old Diabetic Woman

A 60 years old Woman diabetic, hyperuricemic, with hyperthyroidism on regular investigations have Hb 10.7gm, ESR 78 mm in the first hour, RBC, TLC, and Platelets count in normal range. TFTs were in the normal range with 75 Mìcrogm Eltroxin.Hba1c 6.5 gms,  blood urea 24 mg %, and serum creatinine 1.79. Urine analysis was normal and urine culture was negative. 5days later she has dysuria and intense itching in the vagina. Urine investigations and KFT were planned.

Fasting Blood glucose was tested by glucometer at 7 am which was 126 mg % in women and her husband. In the lab to assess the difference in the reading of arterial blood and venous blood,  the blood glucose sample was taken at 9 am and it was 160 mg% in Woman and 107 mg% in her husband in tests done in lab.in women urine analysis showed 30 to 40 pus cells per HPF.
