What qualification is required for Assistant professor or lecturer in Government Medical College

I want to know that what is the exact required qualification for the post of Assistant professor o lecturer in Government Medical College in India. Is DNB degree equivalent to MD/MS degree? I just now completed my post diploma DNB in Radiodiagnosis, so will I be eligible for the post of Assistant professor or lecturer in Government Medical College or whether I have to do any further SR post?

I have searched a bit on MCI & DNB website and information available is quite confusing. Can experts please throw some light on this very important topic?
