Firecracker related injuries and burns are very common cases a doctor comes across during the ‘Deepavali’ festival. However, diagnosis and treatment of particular injury depend on the severity and complications. Some studies suggest that it is better to avoid hydrogen peroxide, especially for deeper burns.
Even reports indicates that alcohol may cause harm when used for cuts and wounds that are related to firecrackers. What is your opinion on use of hydrogen peroxide for firecracker related burns? What alternatives would you suggest?
