Medical history Recent admission to another hospital for the treatment of pulmonary infection Atrial fibrillation (AF) and non-ischemic cardiomyopathy Rivaroxaban was prescribed (for AF) Hypertension, hematuria, type-2 diabetes mellitus, mild aortic stenosis, and arterio-venous malformations in the gastrointestinal tract Investigations Hemoglobin level dropped down from 4.1 g/dL to 3.1 g/dL on the third day of admission. Rivaroxaban was discontinued and aspirin 325 mg/day was started. The upper GI endoscopy report was normal.
