At times, in our country camps by private agencies for eye check up and cataract surgeries were organized. When everything goes normal nothing happened but at the moment any undesired events occurred, the whole matter is highlighted in print and social media making the doctors involved sacrificial goats. Recently CMO has been suspended for operating cataract of 32 patients in torchlight.
Patients attendants also spoke for not providing adequate facilities. What Is your opinion, should permission be granted to such types of surgeries and how to avoid such situations? Kindly share.
