A 30-year-old patient has BP 170/100mm hg, has B/L multiple renal calculi, renal doppler shows no renal artery stenosis, 2d echo is normal except tachycardia at the time of doing echo, but normally patient is in sinus rhythm, 24 hr urine estimation for calcium, phosphorus, oxalate, urate is normal, serum urea, creatinine is normal, serum calcium is 8.2mg/DL. The patient lipid profile is also normal. Which drug is safe for long-term use for this patient?
Can telmisartan be given for long term? Please give me suggestions.
