Scientists from Spain have discovered a probable cause of multidrug resistance in certain tumors. In the study published in EMBO Molecular Medicine, researchers found that the inactivation of the FBXW7 gene makes the tumor cells resistant to common anti-cancer drugs like cisplatin and rigosertib.
