Diabetic dermopathy is the most common skin condition occurring in up to 70% of patients with diabetes mellitus. It is known to have a strong association with microangiopathic complications. Diabetic dermopathy is characterized by small, round, brown atrophic skin lesions that occur on the shins of patients with diabetes.
