Most patients have a good opinion for their family doctor - and most are grateful to their obstetrician during pregnancy; and their pediatrician for taking care of their children. Even though their personal experience with their own doctors is usually good, why has the societal trust in the medical profession evaporated?
And what can we do to earn it back? If patients don't trust the profession, the worry is that this lack of trust will contaminate their relationship with their personal physician as well - and everyone will get hurt in the process!
